The MET Gala 2021: Some of My Favorite Looks on the Red Carpet

The MET Gala's Back and These Fashion Royals Conquered The Red Carpet and Made it Their Runway!

Here's a recap of some of the best-dressed celebs as they graced the entrance of The MET Gala

The Met Gala has returned after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic, and I'm so glad that the Gala is back in action! I love watching The Met Gala live and being able to see all my favorite celebs looking fabulous on the red carpet in different designer's evening wear. The theme for The Met Gala this year was "In America: A Lexicon of Fashion" This exhibition was the first half of the two-part exhibit. The theme for the second half is "Explore American Fashion," focusing on sportswear and contemporary designers according to a press release on Page Six Style back in April. Each celeb showed up dripped in designer's elegant evening wear, and their take on the representation of American fashion through their unique, elaborate, and creative looks. Many celebs wore different variations of red, white, and blue to match the Gala's theme, and some of them thought outside the box and wore different silhouette shapes, colors, and fabrics that were unique and outside of the box.

Here's a recap of some of the best looks from The Met Gala:

Barbie looked stunning in this off-the-shoulder beaded Area gown. She graced the entrance of the gala and looked like a goddess. I was blown away by this gown. The beading trimmed around the bodice of the corset, mixed with glitter was stunning.

2. Iman

Iman served in this Harris Reed jumpsuit. This photo needs to be showcased in the Met because this jumpsuit is beautiful. Iman looks radiant in this gold jumpsuit. Harris Reed did a great job with the gold accents on the feathers, and I love how the feathered bustle has a transparent look to it as well. Let's not forget the beautiful feathered headpiece to match the bustle. This was by far one of my favorite looks of the night.

This Dreamgirl Jennifer Hudson made the entrance of the Met her runway in this beautiful red AZ Factory gown. The satin shall plus satin finish at the bottom of the dress took, this look to another level and made it more dramatic with the shall drop off her shoulders as the train swept the floor in a fairytale-like manner.

4. JLO

JLO wasn’t afraid to show a little skin in this glam steampunk Ralph Lauren Gown, styled by Rob Zangardi. The plunging neckline and split on the side of the gown paired with a black fedora, fur coat, chocker, a silver necklace, and belt made this glam steampunk look turned heads. All eyes were on Jlo because she always owns the red carpet.

All hail the queen! This look's inspired by Josephine Baker and styled by Jason Bolden. Yara Shahidi looked beautiful in this stunning Dior gown. The accessories such as the beaded headband, rose gold belt, silver necklace, gloves with a glitter finish, and let's not forget the beige train attached to the back of the dress.

The Golden Boy, Lil Nas X always wows the crowd with his elaborate outfits on the red carpet, but last night he outdid himself because he pulled up to the Met Gala in not 1, but 3 outfits. Each outfit Lil Nas wore, was dripped in gold Versace from the studded pants suit to the gold Cape. Lil Nas X understood the assignment and looked like a king/Knight at the same time.

Serena showed out in a Gucci feather ombré pink, white, and black-feathered cape with a train. Paired with silver lace pants suit with hot pink stars in it. Serena grabbed everyone's attention in this look styled by Kesha

This couple looked dashing in their Versace outfits, styled by Jason Bolden. Stephen wore a custom Atelier Versace Navy blue suit with gold finishes and gold applique on the shoulder. Ayesha is wearing beaded silver and gold-trimmed Atelier Versace gown. The corset bodice and slit elevated the look.

Gabriella Union slayed in this unique mermaid/bubble queen Thomas Christos gown styled by Rasaan Wyzard. This dress was constructed beautifully with over 10,000 circles, according to Thomas Christos. The main inspiration for this look was change: both Thomas and Gabrielle delivered. The detailing of this dress is incredible, and the sleeve off the shoulder and circles forming a heart shape behind her back almost look like clouds. This look is one for the books.

Megan Fox set the red carpet ablaze in this stunning long-sleeved lace-up studded Dundas gown, styled by Maeve Reilly The cutouts on the top and side of the dress with the slit give this look a sensual edge.

Storm graced the red carpet wearing a three-piece pink, black, and burgundy Prada shorts set. What took this look to the next level were the accessories, and my favorite, the extravagant pink ruffled bustle trailing down the floor and wrapped around the waist in a beautiful bow. This look styled by Jason Bolden was vibrant, youthful, and fun.

Precious Lee wore a beautiful studded suit dress by Area. The braided fringes at the bottom of the dress give off an edgy but chic look, styled by Tiffani.

This dress is fit for a queen. Normani looked gorgeous in this beautiful yellow Valentino ball gown. The low-cut neckline and exaggerated puffy structure around the shoulders of the dress are the perfect looks for the Met Gala.

Marilyn Monroe is that you? I had to do a double-take because Billie looked absolutely stunning in this Oscar de la Renta cream off-the-shoulder gown. The dress is inspired by Holiday Barbie.

Llana was one of the amazing hostesses of the Met Gala. She's wearing a cameo feathered long-sleeved with the cut-out back Aliette gown paired with a gold clutch. This dress was glamorous, and I loved how the feathered sleeves elevated this look.

Amanda Gorman shined on the red carpet in this flowy blue custom-made Vera Wang dress embellished with sparkles, and a glittering headpiece. This dress was perfect for the theme of the gala.

The R&B icon Mary J Blige grabbed the audience's attention in his stunning gold Dundas dress, styled by Jason Rembert. Mary J Blige showed up and showed out in this golden gown. I loved the details of the dress. It's the glitter for me!

Rosalia wore an elaborate red Rick Owens gown, and a beautiful long shawl trimmed with fringes wrapped around her. The matching red satin gloves and thigh-high boots gave this elegant look an edge.

Rita Ora set the red carpet on fire wearing this beautiful beaded Prada skirt set with a black shall falling off her shoulders. Rita's outfit was styled by Jason Rembert

Ciara's gown was inspired by her husband's jersey number, 3. She wore a gorgeous green Dundas sparkle cut-out jersey gown with a sparkled silver #3. This elegant and fun look was styled by Rob Zangardi.

Date night at the met Gala. This couple wore Ralph Lauren outfits on the red carpet, styled by Law Roach. Chance's black, white, and red blazer inspired by Chicago, and we can't forget his signature #3 hat. Kirsten wore a sleek black Ralph Lauren gown.

Sister, Sister. These lovely ladies wore Rodarte outfits. Halle's looks pretty in a pink metallic bodysuit inspired by Tina Turner. Chloe, have mercy! This all-white satin gown was inspired by Hollywood Sirens.

Icy Girl Sawettie strutted on the red carpet wearing a beautiful cutout sequenced Christian Cowan dress with the African American and Philippine flags on the back to represent her heritage.

I know a few celebs had a hard time keeping up with this Kardashian in the style department. Kendall's decked in this see-through studded Givenchy gown with the matching choker.

Keke, do you love me? Keke slayed the red carpet in this glamorous Sergio Hudson glitter gown, styled by Seth Chernoff. Keke not only looked great on the red carpet, but she was one of the great hostesses for the Gala. Not bad for your first time at the Met Gala Keke!

Teyana Taylor looked like a fabulous gladiator Queen wearing a metallic Prabal Gurung silver cutout dress, paired with sequenced trimming in her hair. The long train gave this look a dramatic touch.

Cookie Lyon has taken over the red carpet! Taraji wore a beautiful black glitter Moschino pants suit off the shoulder with silver glitter trimmings, styled by Jason Bolden

Uh oh, Cinderella has escaped from her evil Step Mother's claws and has attended another ball, but this time in the big apple. Camila and her prince Shawn Mendes are both decked out in Michael Kors outfits. Camila wore a sparkly purple top with a matching wrap skirt with feathers at the bottom, and Shawn Mendes looks like a rockstar in this leather suit styled by Rob Zangardi.

Regina King didn't come to play in this dress. She graced the red carpet in this beautiful pin-striped Michael Kors dress and the matching jacket with the gold sequenced lining peeking through the inside, making the outfit pop.

30. Grimes

Grimes looked out of this world! She was ready to fight some bad guys on the red carpet, with her sword in hand. This Galatic Warrior Princess wore a beautiful futuristic and flowy ombre Iris Van Herpen gown. This gown is paired with a metal mask and inspired by the new movie Dune.

Olivia not only won Prom Queen, but she attend her first Met Gala! She graced the red carpet wearing a black feathered and see-through Yves Saint Laurent pantsuit, styled by Chloe and Chenelle

Allyson looked stunning on the red carpet wearing a white keyhole cut feathered Fendi couture gown; styled by Jason Bolden. This look was one of my favorites on the red carpet.

Overall, everyone looked beautiful in their evening wear, and they definitely turned many of the reporter's heads. We'll have to wait until Part 2 of the Met Gala in May. You can catch a video recap of the Met Gala below, and let me know what your favorite looks were in the comments section.

2021 VMA'S Red Carpet Recap

The Red Carpet at the Barclays Center turned into your favorite Celeb's Fashion Runway for the 2021 VMA's

Recap of some of the best-dressed celebs on the Red Carpet for the 2021 VMA's. Which looks were your faves?

I know I've been on a small break since my last blog post, but this fashionista had to come on here and highlight some of my favorite celeb outfits I saw on the Red Carpet at the 2021 VMA's. Many celebs came decked out in their trendsetting outfits as they entered the Barcley Center here in NYC. Cinderella (Camila Cabello) and her Fairy God Motha were in attendance too (Billy Porter)! I was amazed by some of the outfits these celebs had on. They were dressed to impress and left no crumbs on the red carpet. Some of them paid homage to other celebs who wore the same outfits to the VMA's years prior. The different types of fabric I saw on the red carpet were edgy leather sets, mesh extravagant gowns, sequence/glitter, metallic/aluminum, and Satin garments. Many of the outfits were bright and colorful as well. Hot Pink was a popular color last night, not just on the red carpet but the performance stage as well. The silhouette direction of some of the outfits were clean and sleek structured looks to sexy form-fitting sheer outfits to give their outfits that extra wow factor.

Here Are some of My fave Celeb Outfits from Last Night

Olivia graced the red carpet in a beautiful hot pink with light pink lining by Archive Atelier Versace SS01 Couture and styled by Chloe and Chenelle. The fitted bodice and fitted silhouette of the dress were stunning, and Olivia took over the red carpet in this dress.

Avril didn't come to play in this lovebomb AREA plaid suit! This hot pink plaid suit is so cute, it's giving thank you next pop-punk vibes. The heart-shaped blazer with the crop neckline to show off the rhinestone bandeau top. Avril also paired a cute silver sequenced purse with this unique suit.

The evil stepmother and stepsisters could never! Cinderella hoped in her horse and carriage and headed straight to the Barkley Center. She couldn't be late to make her grand entrance on the red carpet at the VMA'S. Camila's God Motha did her thing with the bibidi babidi boo and put Camilia in this elegant satin hot pink and red strapless Alexis Mabille dress, styled by Rob Zangardi Camila not only wowed her prince, but the paparazzi, and fans as well. Cinderella owned the red carpet.

Couple Goals! Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox set the red carpet ablaze with their outfits for the VMA'S. They understood the assignment and turned heads in their dazzling and sexy looks. Machine Gun Kelly is wearing a shimmering ruby red Dolce & Gabbana suit, and his beautiful date Megan Fox wore a custom Mugler sheer gown styled by Maeve Reilly. Now that's how you grab the audience's attention

Ciara slayed in her beautiful black sheer lace Tom Ford gown, styled by Rob Zangari. This dress looked amazing on Ciara.

Lil Nas X stunned the audience in his Prince/Rick James-inspired custom Atelier Versace lilac off-the-shoulder suit with glitter trailing down the extravagant blazer, which had a long train wrapped into it. Lil Nas X always delivers when it comes to his red carpet looks, and this one is no different.

7. Normai

Normani rocked the red carpet in this white Patrycja Pajas set, styled by Kollin Carter. This outfit's paired with Louboutin pumps, and overall it's giving futuristic baddie vibes. This outfit is unique and was one of the fan-favorite looks of the night.

The category is tiger print. Bretman not only looks like the king of the jungle, but he slayed the red carpet in this vintage Roberto Cavalli feathered trimmed dress paying homage to Aaliyah by wearing the same dress she wore at the 2000's VMA'S.

These talented and beautiful sisters graced the red carpet in their stunning outfits. Chloe turned heads in her futuristic shiny aluminum foil gown with a chest piece with a spoon in the middle of it. While getting interviewed on the red carper Chloe said her overall look was inspired by Medusa. The Little Mermaid, Halle was decked out in a sleek fitted white Monot cutout dress.

This Icy Girl stepped out on the red carpet in this beautiful silver and metallic pleated Valentino gown, styled by Wilford Lenov. The high split in the gown, the color, and the pin curls slicked back to one side give this overall look old Hollywood vibes.

Date night at the VMA'S! This lovely couple coordinated with all-black edgy outfits. Travis in a black suit and Kourtney in a laced up leather off-the-shoulder Olivier Theyskens dress.

Doja's personality not only lit up the stage but on the red carpet as well. Doja rocked an edgy Vivienne Westwood Fall/Winter 2019 bustier dress with a purple satin Andreas Kronthaler sash draped around it. To top off the look she paired it with thigh-high stockings and lace-up platforms.

This outfit was one of my favorite looks on the red carpet. Quenlin did not come to play in this Baby Phat ensemble styled by Phil Gomez. She is wearing a denim Baby Phat jacket with a Baby Phat bodysuit underneath, trimmed with gold chains on the sleeves, pockets, and bodysuit. This fire look was paired with Baby Phat shades and earrings, sparkly fishnets, and silver thigh-high boots. Quenlin snatched edges with this outfit!

14. Paris Hilton

Paris Hilton looked stunning in her bedazzled The Blonds dress. This shiny outfit was one of the looks that had the audience shook.

15. Latto

This Queen of the South graced the red carpet dripped in custom champagne beaded Julian Mendez gown. Latto looked beautiful in this dress styled by Labels n Dollas

Rita Ora stepped out on the red carpet with a black Vera Wang SS21 RTW set, styled by Rob Zangardi. This sleek yet flowy look had a futuristic vibe to it, and Rita looked absolutely stunning.

Leslie strutted on the red carpet with this dazzling off-the-shoulder metallic Oscar De La Renta dress styled by Wayman & Micah. Honestly, I need to borrow this dress from her because it is beautiful and unique at the same time.

One of my favorite R&B icons, Ashanti set the red carpet ablaze in her bondage-style bra top paired with a pleated black skirt over one side.

19. JLO

Miss Jenny from the Block rocked the red carpet in a David Koma lace-up set, styled by Rob Zangardi. The sparkly lace-up skirt grabbed my attention, and JLO looked stunning in it. I need to buy one of those skirts to add to my wardrobe.

Time after time Cyndi understands the assignment when it comes to wearing stylish outfits on the red carpet. Cyndi is wearing a tulle dress paired with a leather jacket styled by Nikki. This edgy look is one for the books.

21. Bia

Bia looked great in her red Bottega Veneta ribbed halter dress on the red carpet. This outfit was styled by Grace Butler.

22. Anita

Anitta graced the red carpet in a Miss Sohee Velvet gown, paired with white satin gloves. This outfit has an old Hollywood vibe and was styled by Janelle Renèe

Overall all the celebs looked stunning in their outfits and set the red carpet ablaze. I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves for their red carpet looks at the VMA's next year.
